Month of Rajab

A book translated into English in which its author wrote in its introduction, " With the advent of the month of Rajab, innovations in religion show up and Muslims in many Islamic countries begin to practice acts of worship and myths that were not authorized by Allah. Then, the seekers of knowledge should exert efforts to warn Muslims against these innovations and myths and explain to them the truth in this regard. When it became incumbent on knowledgeable and educated people to explain the truth to the people and warn them against these innovations, the secretary of Islamic Fiqh Site was determined to collect some Fatwas from trustworthy scholars about the annulment of the proofs that were reported in the virtue of the month of Rajab, especially the innovations connected with Salah, fasting, recitation, etc…"

A fatwa in English in which Sh. Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjed (may Allah preserve him) answers the following question, “Is there any special virtue in fasting during the month of Rajab?”

From The Innovations Of Rajab Month

About the virtue of Rajab month as it is one of the sacred months urging to make benefit of it without specializing it with certain worships and showing some of the innovations in Rajab that people perform without evidences

The month of Rajab has its own stare among months which Allaah honored as it is one of the scared months.But we can’t specialize it with certain worship as nothing was narrated about the prophet about specializing it.

Allaah has prefered some days,nights and months according to His wisdom for his servants to hurry in worshipping.But the devils from people and jinn turn some muslims away from the path of truth by innovating heresies for them in religion

The deed if it is faithful but not correct (from the sunnah),it won’t be accepted. And if it is correct but not faithful,it won’t be accepted till it become faithful and correct

About its virtue and warning against innovations in it

Allaah had specialized four months and made them sacred and made the performance of sin them greater and the performance of obedience greater.But people has innovated some innovations in Rajab

Rajab is one of the scared months which we should care about by avoiding disobedience and innovation in it

About the beliefs of people in Rajab and the ruling of islam in the innovations people innovated in Rajab

We should follow the legislation Of Allaah and the guidance of His propohet as this is the way to rightness.As deeds aren’t accepted unless there are two conditions:Sincerity and Following the guidance of the prophet.So the prophet warned a lot of innovations in religion. From these innovations is specializing the night of twenty seven from Rajab with certain ceremonies

Friday Kutba By Shaikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid talked about how Allah favors certain times and places over others, then he spoke about Rajab as a sacred month, After That he shed lights on the special Practices performed during this month and the ruling of such innovations.
