He was born in Najaf in 1930. He received a Master’s in the Islamic Law. He has a Ph.D. in Islamic Legislation from Tehran University in 1955. He received another Ph.D. in Philosophy from Paris University in 1959. He was a professor of Islamic Economy at Tehran University in 1960-1962 and of the Islamic Philosophy at Baghdad University in 1968-78. He was elected as the Chairman of the Higher Islamic Assembly in west of the US since 1979. He was a visiting professor at Halle University in Democratic Germany and researcher professor at Harvard University in 1975.
