Description
An article in Turkish explaining the rulings of Zakat al-Fitr (fast-breaking charity). Fast-breaking charity was ordained to purify the fasting person from idle talk and obscenity. Thus, it completes the reward of fasting and provides the poor and needy with sufficient food to abstain from begging at the day of Eid. Giving fast-breaking charity is an obligation on males and females, the young and the old, the free man and the slave. Whoever posses enough food exceeding his and his family's basic needs has to give it on himself and on behalf of those he is obliged to spend on.
