Scheikh Abdur-Razzaq Ibn Abdul-Muhsin al-’Abbad, möge Allah ihn behüten, hat hier den Hadith der als Sayyidu l-Istighfar bekannat ist erklärt. Dessen Wortlaut ist: "O Allah, Du bist mein Herr. Niemand hat das Recht angebetet zu werden, außer Dir. Du hast mich erschaffen, und ich bin Dein Diener. Und ich bin meinem Vertrag und meinem Versprechen gegenüber treu, soweit ich in der Lage bin. Ich suche Zuflucht bei Dir vor dem Schlechten, was ich beging. (Dieser Wortlaut kommt in einer der beiden Überlieferungen in al-Buchari vor) Ich erkenner all die Gnaden, die Du mir zugestanden hast an. Und ich gebe all meine Sünden Dir gegenüber zu. So vergib’ mir, denn niemand kann die Sünden vergeben, außer Dir."
