Undoubtedly the employee in a riba-based bank plays a part in riba-based transactions one way or another, even if he is a security guard for the bank. Could you offer him a better job if you have anything to offer?"

Usury is from the major sins and evils leading to the destruction of the nation.It leads to the spread of epidemic,diseases and high cost.It is a dangerous disease crushing the society,spreading expolitation,removing mercy and replacing it by anger and war from Allah.

A fatwa translated into English in which Sh. Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjed answers the following question, "My parents have taken out a mortgage for a house sometime ago, they are currently paying interest on this loan. But now they have decided to go on Hajj, they still have 15 years left on the loan. Is it permissible for them to go on Hajj even though they owe money? Or will they have to wait 15 years first? Can they in the meantime do Umrah if it is not permissible to do Hajj?"

Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjed (may Allah preserve him) answers the following question, "I am intending to propose marriage to a girl, but I found out that her father puts his money in the bank and he is going to prepare her trousseau using this money. Will this trousseau and furniture be halaal or haram?"

A fatwa in English in which Sh. Muhammad Saleh Al-Munajjed (may Allah preserve him) answers the following question, "There is a businessman who was offered money by a man in order to do business for him, but the one who offered this money deals with bribes and usury. Is there any sin on this businessman?"

This is an advice from the previous Grand Mufti in Saudi Arabia in regard to Riba (usury) transactions that have proliferated in the recent times through the numerous financial institutions that have been established throughout the world.
