How was the status of the woman in the past? She was a commodity to be bought and sold, disrespected and dishonored. She was sold just like an animal or a piece of furniture; she was forced to get married or commit adultery. She did not inherit or own money; her husband took over her money if she had some without her permission. Some ignorant cultures went even beyond that, in discussing whether she is a human being with a soul and spirit just like a man! After all this, some societies accuse Islam of persecuting and oppressing women, dealing with them in an injustice way. In this film, we are discussing all these points and the way Islam gave women all their rights.

A video in English shows how Islam honored the woman and preserved her rights. She was just a commodity that can be sold, bought, and enforced to get married or be involved in prostitution. She was inherited and did not inherit and possessed and did not possess. Her husband had the right to spend her money without her permission. Additionally, some peoples of ignorance differed whether she has a soul like the man.

A book in English confirms that ethics and values have supreme prestige in Islam, for they are the essence and basis for any civilization. As a matter of fact, if they disappear one day, man will lose the moral warmth which is the spirit of his life and will no longer know the benefit and real purpose of his existence.
