Application of Islamic teaching in the life of Muslims
- English Lecturere : Jaber M Y Dawshi
Happiness is a common goal that everyone strives to attain. Philosophers, intellectuals, doctors and artists have all strived in search of the causes of happiness and ways to escape the emptiness they feel. The undeniable reality is that permanent happiness cannot be achieved except by believing in Allah - The Creator - and following His guidance. Since it is He who created mankind, He is the one who knows what pleases and benefits them, just as he knows what saddens and harms them. Allah has said: "Whoever does good whether male or female and he\she is a believer, we will most certainly make him\her live a happy life, and We will most certainly give him\her the reward for the best of what he/she did." Noble Qur'an (16:97) Allah is the greatest source of peace for the heart, and He is the one whose remembrance can bring joy to the soul. Islam enables those who embrace it to have an ongoing connection with Allah. This makes it possible for them to be at ease spiritually. It shields them from chaos, being lost or feeling (spiritually) empty, and it protects them from mental instability.

Islam urges people to allegorically and realistically construct the global world, seek to create means of provisions and earn living by legitimately working in different fields of professions, such as trade, agriculture and industry. The Prophet said, "None would taste much more palatable food than that which one has earned by working with one's own hands. Therefore, the Prophet of Allah, David used to eat from the earnings of his manual labor." Behaving as such would yield one profitable consequences provided he or she is committed to honesty, sincerity in transactions, fulfillment of wages with no delay in time, giving full measurements and refraining from deception, monopoly and usury.
