(1) 1. I (Allah) swear by the winds sent forth one after another (for man’s benefit),
(2) 2. And by the raging storms,
(3) 3. And by the winds that scatter (clouds and rain),
(4) 4. And by the Verses (of this Qur’an) that separate right from wrong,
(5) 5. Then I swear by the angels who bring down Revelation,
(6) 6. To excuse(the believers and to cut off all excuses from the disbelievers) or to warn.
(7) 7. Most surely, what you are promised must come to pass.
(8) 8. So when the stars are made to lose their light,
(9) 9. And when the sky is opened,
(10) 10. And when the mountains are blown away,
(11) 11. And when the Messengers (of Allah) are gathered at their appointed time.
(12) 12. For what Day are these Signs postponed?
(13) 13. For the Day of Judgment.
(14) 14. And what will make you know what the Day of Judgment is?
(15) 15. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(16) 16. Did We not destroy the former (disbelieving) generations?
(17) 17. Then We will make the later generations (their kinds) to follow them (into Destruction).
(18) 18. Thus do We deal with the criminals (of the unbelievers and the deniers).
(19) 19. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(20) 20. Did We not create you from a despised fluid?
(21) 21. Then We placed it in a safe lodging (in the womb),
(22) 22. Until an appointed term,
(23) 23. So We determined it, and We (Allah) are the Best of those who determine.
(24) 24. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(25) 25. Have We not made the earth to hold within itself,
(26) 26. The living and the dead,
(27) 27. And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink fresh water?
(28) 28. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(29) 29. Go to that which you used to deny.
(30) 30. Proceed to a shadow (of smoke) having three branches,
(31) 31. Neither having the coolness of shade nor availing against the flames.
(32) 32. Surely it sends up sparks (the size of) palaces (and fortresses),
(33) 33. As if they were yellowish (black) camels.
(34) 34. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(35) 35. This is the Day on which they shall not speak,
(36) 36. And permission will not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.
(37) 37. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who oppose Peace).
(38) 38. This is the Day of Judgment: We have gathered you and those before you.
(39) 39. So if you have a plot, plot against Me (Allah - which you will never be able to do).
(40) 40. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(41) 41. Surely those who keep to the Commandments of Allah and guard themselves (against evil) will be among shades and fountains (in Paradise),
(42) 42. And (they shall have) fruits such as they desire.
(43) 43. Eat and drink pleasantly for that which you used to do (of righteousness).
(44) 44. Surely thus do We (Allah) reward the doers of good.
(45) 45. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(46) 46. (O you unbelievers)! Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty!
(47) 47. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(48) 48. And when it is said to them: Submit (to Allah, and establish the prayer for His Remembrance), they do not submit and bow down (I.e., pray).
(49) 49. Woe on that Day to the deniers (of the Truth, those who opposed Peace).
(50) 50. In what statement then, after this (Qur’an), will they believe?
