55 - Ar-Rahmaan ()

(1) 1. (Allah) the Most Compassionate,

(2) 2. Taught the Qur’an.

(3) 3. Created man,

(4) 4. And taught him speech.

(5) 5. The sun and the moon follow their fixed (prescribed) courses.

(6) 6. And the stars and the trees (and their shadows) (submit and) prostrate (to Him).

(7) 7. And the sky, He (Allah) raised it high, and He made the balance.

(8) 8. That you may not transgress in measure.

(9) 9. And observe the weight with justice, and do not make the measure deficient.

(10) 10. And the earth, He has placed it for the living creatures;

(11) 11. Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters (of dates),

(12) 12. And the grain with (its) husk and sweet-scented plants.

(13) 13. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(14) 14. He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels,

(15) 15. And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

(16) 16. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(17) 17. The Lord of the two sunrises and the Lord of the two sunsets (in both the summer and winter).

(18) 18. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(19) 19. He has let the two seas (the salt water and fresh water) to flow freely (so that) they meet together:

(20) 20. (Yet) between them is a barrier which they cannot transgress.

(21) 21. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(22) 22. There come forth from them pearls and coral.

(23) 23. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(24) 24. And to Him belong the ships (which became possible only by His Power and Grace) going and coming in the sea like mountains.

(25) 25. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(26) 26. Whatever is on it (the earth) will perish.

(27) 27. And there will abide forever the Noble Face of (Allah) your Lord, Glorified and Honored.

(28) 28. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(29) 29. All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every moment He (Allah) is bringing about some matter (such as the giving of life, the bringing of death, exalting and abasing individuals, giving abundantly and withholding, responding to a supplicating person and giving the one requesting, etc.) .

(30) 30. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(31) 31. Soon we will attend to you, O you two multitudes (of mankind and jinn).

(32) 32. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(33) 33. O assembly of jinn and men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass; you cannot pass through except with authority.

(34) 34. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(35) 35. There shall be sent against you both, smokeless flames of fire and molten brass, and you shall not be able to defend yourselves.

(36) 36. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(37) 37. Then when the sky is torn apart, and becomes rose colored like red hide (you shall not bear the horrible incidents).

(38) 38. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(39) 39. So on that Day neither man nor jinn shall be asked about his sin (because they are already known).

(40) 40. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(41) 41. The unbelievers will be known by their marks and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet (and then will be cast into Hell).

(42) 42. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(43) 43. This is Hell, which the unbelievers denied.

(44) 44. They will go round between it and hot boiling water.

(45) 45. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(46) 46. And for him who fears the standing (for account) before his Lord (Allah) are two gardens.

(47) 47. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(48) 48. Having (spreading) branches.

(49) 49. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(50) 50. In both of them are two springs flowing.

(51) 51. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(52) 52. In both of these (Gardens) are two pairs of every fruit.

(53) 53. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(54) 54. Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade, and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach.

(55) 55. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(56) 56. In them shall be (pure, beautiful) wives, restraining their glances (exclusively for their husbands);  neither man nor jinn has touched before them.

(57) 57. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(58) 58. As though they were rubies and coral.

(59) 59. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(60) 60. Is the reward of goodness anything except goodness?

(61) 61. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(62) 62. And besides these two are two (other) gardens:

(63) 63. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(64) 64. Both of the deepest green.

(65) 65. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(66) 66. In both of them are two springs gushing forth.

(67) 67. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(68) 68. In both are fruits and palms and pomegranates.

(69) 69. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(70) 70. In them are goodly (wives), beautiful ones.

(71) 71. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(72) 72. Pure ones (beautiful, fair females)  confined (to their) pavilions.

(73) 73. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(74) 74. Man has not touched them before them nor jinn.

(75) 75. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(76) 76. Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets.

(77) 77. Which then of the bounties of (Allah) your Lord will you deny?

(78) 78. Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of (All) Majesty, Glory, and Honor.
